WINHEC-USA

World Indigenous Nations Higher Education Consortium (WINHEC), a non-profit international Indigenous organization based in New Zealand, provides an international forum and support for indigenous peoples to pursue common goals through higher education. AIHEC was a major founder of WINHEC as a direct result of their involvement in the 1999 World Indigenous Peoples Conference on Education (WIPCE), an international indigenous education conference held every three years. Through funding from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, AIHEC provides support to pursuing U.S.-based activities and involvement in WINHEC.
